Where are the insurgents getting their weapons from?
WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 — The Defense Department cannot account for 190,000 weapons, including more than 110,000 AK-47 rifles, issued to Iraqi security forces, a new report by government investigators says.

Gee lets see, the Iraqi forces are about as corrupt as you can get. How many of the 'leaders' over there have been dropped because they were involved in death squads? How many of the 'police' have simply surrendered their stations to insurgents....you can lose a lot of weapons that way.

US army in Iraq loses a gun every 6 minutes
The US invasion of Iraq is continuing to plunge into further crisis after the government revealed the US army cannot account for 190,000 weapons for the years 2004 and 2005. In the past the US blasted countries like Iran for supplying insurgents with arms, when it seems themselves are the ones supplying their enemies with brand new guns. US loses track of 190,000 weapons in Iraq More than 190,000 AK-47 rifles and pistols given to Iraqi security forces in 2004 and 2005 are missing, raising fears that US and British troops are fighting an enemy armed with American weapons. It appears that the US military was rushing out weapons to Iraqi units as fast as possible, with little oversight. Some of those units, particularly in places such as Fallujah, have since dissolved or merged back into the civilian population. Isn't it nice to know that rather than Al-Queda, Syria, or Iran supplying the money for the Iraqi insurgents to buy weapons, it is actually American taxpayers who are paying to arm the insurgents.

So let's see...
We're supposed to pull out, and leave the Iraqis to themselves. We give them weapons, and they "lose" them. We get blamed. Anyone else see a problem with the theory of pulling out yet?
