If your keith Jarrett; jazz great. it get's you banned and a promise that he won't be welcomed back to the Umbria Jazz Festival any time soon.

Jarrett's show was typically transcendent, but was marred by his profanity-laced tirade against the audience, their "f---ing" cameras and the "g-d-mn city" of Perugia before he played a single note.
The next day Umbria artistic director Carlos Pagnotta said, "Jarrett, the artist, is sublime, but Jarrett, the man, is very questionable. It is regrettable to witness this sort of schizophrenia involving these two aspects, because we expect an artist we love to behave in an appropriate way."
As for Jarrett's diss of the city, Pagnotta said the fest "won't have anything more to do with him. He will always continue to be part of the history of this festival, but we will do without his music." Three days later, Jarrett, through his manager, issued an apology for his "choice of words," but it seems certain that the pianist will not return to Umbria.
