Didn't know BBS made BMW wheels other then M's

I was washing off my 545i's wheels and when I turned them over saw BBS engraved in them. I thought BBS only made the M wheels, well, it was a nice surprise

I believe BBS is owned by BMW, so many of the BMW wheels are made by BBS

BBS and Borbet have both supplied BMW OEM application wheels for years. The E34 wire basket wheels were BBS, as were the 2 piece wheels on the E39 sports models.

BBS was an independent company up until recently when they went bankrupt and were purchased by Punch Int'l. which also owns ZF.

BBS also has the "ASA" brand under their umbrella, for the slightly
more budget conscious shopper...decent wheels though, imo.

I think you will find that ZF is owned primarily (>90%) by the Zeppelin Foundation, a non-profit group run by a city council in Germany. I looked up Punch, and see that they bought a factory in Belgium off of ZF last year, one that made the 6-speed automatics. ZF has a lot of other factories.

ASA = made in taiwan though.. lots of cases of bent wheels at the smallest pothole with them. The forging process of lack there of is where the price comes in. Some of the wheels look great but they are not very strong.
