knowing that you are so absolutely independent
I have taken hold of your independence
and I am approaching you.
I, Baba, with absolute humility,
on my behalf and on behalf of all who love me,
and on behalf of all worthy penitents,
I wish to express my repentance.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

We repent
O God most merciful
for all our sins.

For every thought that was false
or unjust or unclean

For every word spoken
that ought not to have been spoken

We repent for every deed and word and thought
inspired by selfishness
and for every deed and word and thought
inspired by hatred.

We repent most especially
for every lustful thought
and every lustful action

for all hypocrisy

Happy Independence Day to Vig and to his fellow Indians across the world. What better reason to celebrate than for the freedom of one of the world's great culture and peoples? If the rest of the world could appreciate and celebrate life like Indians, the world would be a much better place.

I am not. Pure English (whatever that means... some kind of nor'western european mutt). However, I have SE Asian friends and love most food from the region

To me, Meher Baba is one of the most admirable people from India. Those that live what they teach and try to break down the divisions among religions are among the most remarkable and worthy of our respect.
