Brake job on 323 done
I replaced the front pads and rotors on my daughter's 323 this evening. Everything went well until I removed the left caliper. The two bolts that hold the caliper were screwed so tight that I had to build a an extension to my wrench to use as a lever. Why they screw these things so tight is over me.
I think I got dehydrated in my garage as I felt very dizzy for about 30mns after that and now I feel completely drained but it was worth the effort. Carmax quoted me $450, I spent less than $180 doing the job myself. |

Congrats on completing the brake job and saving some money.
I'd suggest you invest in a breaker bar. The pipe or whatever you used can slip off the wrench and sling-shot the wrench in some unknown direction. Ask me how I know.
