Next Senetor in Big trouble? Sen. David Vitter

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - A former New Orleans prostitute who will be featured in Larry Flynt's Hustler magazine appeared at his office Tuesday to accuse Sen. David Vitter of having a sexual relationship with her in 1999. Wendy Ellis told reporters that Vitter visited her two to three times a week for sexual relations between July and November 1999.

I don't get this country, why is 'sex' a serious sin?

Where are my tickets to Denmark

For one thing, if your married it's a violation of trust to the nth degree.
For another thing many people try to live moral lives and they view sex outside the marriage bonds as a violation moral law.

For many others i believe your questions has serious merrit especially in view of the fact that some of the same people who are so quick to condem others are in fact doing the same themselves. It's not a country thing though. Moral curruption as a way of life is beginning to be the norm rather than the exception all over the world. The bigger question might be, where is all of the heading?

I think the issue here is that Republicans tend to run on the platform of being conservative, religious, and very righteous (i.e. pro "family values"), so when you then catch them with a prostitute or soliciting homosexual sex with a stranger, it smells of hypocracy.

If it was a liberal politician who did not run on such a platform, it wouldn't be made into such a big deal for this reason.

So we're back on the moral code thing....that un-clarified and highly subjective code.

Once we started having dozens of reports of 'those in authority' breaking their own 'rules'...moral fortitude went out the window.

Actually some have never left "the the moral code thing" They still prefer to live their lives by it and try to set an example in doing it. For those who claim it's and un-clarified and highly subjective code; it only remains in a cloud until it happens to them then the gloves come off.

Actually it started long before that. But that another story.

I guess I'm not so worried about two consenting adults getting in on...well not nearly as much as guys touching kids or school teachers humping their students.
