well you could buy a Tempur but I don't like them.

I know loads of folk will say this and that and how they have had a bad back etc etc etc. which is the best bed and all that.

This is the make of bed we have and you will struggle the get better

R,
Not exactly, but we have a Prana mattress set in the FLA joint,
and those two are very similar; my only beef is that the "foam"
sets tend to feel a little warm as they seem to really absorb
body heat while sleeping. My 2Cts...

Edit...here is the Prana link. It is slightly diff in construction
to the one you are looking at, but same idea, imo.

I've owned the tempur-pedic and liked it but the foam tends to break down over time. This time around I went with a Select Comfort adjustable bed with a 2" memory foam top. That way I can replace the memory foam down the line. It also works will for a firm back position and a softer side position.

Drawback is the bed is not cheap...Especially if you are talking Cal King.

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
I think a good pillow top mattress is just as good but its seems that each person has his or hers own need, can you return the mattress if you don't like it?

2 Questions:

How long until it wore down?

How Much did your new bed cost?

The memory foam got softer and left a silhouette where you would lay down after about 5-6 years.

The sleep number bed was just over $4,000 for the Sleep Number 9000 Bed in Cal-King. Be sure to do your homework though because the reviews are mixed. Some people had trouble with air leaks and other quality issues. Ours is wonderful and I suspect the poor reviews are mainly for the entry model which I did not like in the least bit.

I got a new mattress 2 years ago. I looked at the Tempurpedic, but I wasn't comfortable in it. It feels like it's too hard. After you are laying in the same spot for about a minute, and memory foam warms up to your body temperature, it then becomes soft and comfortable. But when you move to a new position, it feels hard again for the first minute or two. Since I am a somewhat restless sleeper and tend to move around a lot, it isn't very good for me.

An alternative to the memory foam matresses is to get a latex matress, which is what I did. The latex matresses are much softer and feel like a cross between a regular matress and the momory foam. They are much softer, yet they still give the support that the memory foam does.

Sealy makes a line of latex matresses called "Reflexion"
