Residual Values -
I am just trying to get some parameters. I know every car, every car company is different.. But what would you say, on average, is the residual percent for a car after: (12k miles) 24 months 36 months I know BMW has very high residuals, but I am looking for the average number if you also look at cars like, Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, etc. Is 50% the avg. residual after 36 months? Thanks, B

Lexus residuals (AFAIK) average in the mid 50% range after 36 months and 12k miles per year ... Mercedes I believe is about the same ....can't say for the others, though ....

That's what I thought.. That 50% is horrible.. But then I started to look at other companies (I'm helping a friend buy a car) other than BMW, and realized most don't have near the residual as BMW.
I think BMW might even keep their residual artifically high. Fine by me !! I was just wondering. B
