40D samples - 1 Corvette Z16, 7 Ford GT's, 1 6 month old and his proud parents

Had a great day out on the North Fork of Long Island yesterday... did a little wine tasting, some back-road spirited driving, and oh yeah, ran into a few Ford's along the way

(we kept passing each other along 25A during the day, and at the 2nd to last winery that we stopped at, there they were, all 7 of 'em, parked in the middle of the vineyard, so I thought I'ld class up the lot a bit and add a bit of General Motors muscle )

It was a great day to be back in the "homeland' where I grew up...

Btw- all of the pics were taken with a Canon 40D and all of the pics are straight out of the camera with the only photoshopping being some cropping and downsizing so that they could fit the attachment rules. If you want to see the full size originals let me know and I'll upload them to my site and send the link.

My cousin John and my "nephew" Brendan (6 months) at the post wine trip bbq in Stony Brook. Funny to think that in 20 years from now I'll be getting that kid a beer

so all of you who are considering getting a 40D, all of those pictures were straight out of the camera with default settings, no post processing except cropping and resizing, all shot jpeg large. I might not touch my 10D every again

Awesome pics!! Thanks for showing what the 40D can do and pics of my 'ol stomping ground!! Next time I'm out there, I got to check out LI again....It's been years!

Well, hmmm, I think me best get the 40D and sell my 'ol 10D. I am sure all my 'ol lens for my 10D will work fine on the 40D.

Just curious, which lens are you using for your shots on the 40D?

17-40 L

don't sell your 10D, you'll get close to nothing for it... just keep it as a 2nd body. I keep a wide angle on the 10 and a 70-200 on the 40 when i'm taking "serious" pics.
