Audi R8 on the Ring...

Great vid if you haven't seen it.

What kind of shifter and transmission does the R8 have??? I would think if it's using the DSG(?) that VW/Audi developed, it would use paddles. Seems like "a bother" to have to take one hand off the wheel to flick the shifter with that type of tranny.

Sure have... shame it's kind of ugly though. I still prefer the looks and style of the R34. I still love that car, and the Supra. It will be interesting to see if the German automakers react to Nissan at all.

Nissan's problem has always been that they can't keep the cost down. That is what killed the original Z31, Z32 and will kill the 350Z along with the Skyline.

but the original GTR's R32, R33, and R34 were all snapped up in Europe and Asia and cost wasn't an issue. It's going to be a beast.

The R8 also comes with an R-tronic option, but the 6-speed was really fun to drive!
