V635, good deal? unlocked?

Do you guys think this is a good deal (ship + ins. is $47 (LOL)) for a total of $255. Feedback is +99.7%

Also, has anyone activated an unlocked phone with AT&T? (still on their service after Cingular acquisition)

I currently have a V600 with sim. Do I need a new sim or do I reuse the existing one?

Do you lose important functionality with the unlocked phone? I don't use the V600 to surf the net or get email.

I have the V600 snap-in + bluetooth in the X.

Assuming the V635 is unlocked, you should be able to just pop the SIM out of your V600 and put it into the V635 and you are good to go. I have a non-carrier specific V600 (it's the Aston Martin edition) and it works just fine on the Cingular, AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile networks with no discernable loss of functionality. My son has a Cingular branded V551 and my wife and daughter have Cingular branded V400's and I have all the functionality they have with the exception of being able to browse the "Cingular Store" - which I don't particularly care about since I don't download stuff from there anyway.

As for the deal, it doesn't seem too bad. I'd probably spend another $50 and get a V3 Razr. The one benefit of the V635, though, is the phone should work just fine with your V600's snap-in adaptor.

Thanks for the response Jeff. I would like to get a Windows Mobile based phone if I change away from what will work in the snap-in. Did you see the new RAZR announcement today? It looks like it is WM based.

I am anxiuosly waiting for the new Q, RAZR based phone aka RAZR berry aka Franklin since I heard about it in May. I heard T-Mobile will offer it. Franklin

Amazon has RAZR V3 for free with 1 year deal I guess. I like my unlocked RAZR V3.
