Representative Rangel is looking to swap the AMT for a new tax targeted exclusively at the highest-income payers. Reality is, that definition would depend on where you reside. $100,000 goes a long way in Oklahoma or Arkansas; however, if you live in Manhattan, or the Bay Area you would be a couple hundred grand short of "Rich".
