Comet 17P/Holmes

Take out a pair of binoculars. You can't miss the GIANT cotton ball. Not as impressive a one with a long tail but this one has become fairly large in size over the last couple of weeks. Out of nowhere and unexpectedly it became 1 million times brighter in a period of two days.

I can't wait until my son is old enough to enjoy my nice Meade computerized telescope. It's too heavy to lug out to see the comet tonight. This thing will be around until December and winter makes for some interesting sky.
