Has anyone ever won a drawing and tried to return the prize???

Last week I was at a seminar in Philly and won an 8GB iTouch. Well, I would have gladly given it to Nicole if I hadn't already bought her an 8GB Green Nano.

So, I was thinking if the iTouch sells for $299, and an 80GB PS3 is $499... I could return it and come up with $200 for the PS3. Or, go with a Wii at $250. Either way, I wasn't sure if it would even work since there are no receipts. I'm sure people return gifts all the time without receipts, but I was just wondering if this would fly at some place like Best Buy or WalMart. Has anyone else ever done something like this?

Wal-Mart would be probably the only place since they take returns without receipts. But it might be hard because of the serial numbers.

They do allow you return up to 3 things a year without a receipt with your drivers license.

I wish I knew you wanted/needed a PS3. Kmart was having a deal for 20% and a gift card deal where every $50 you get $10 bonus.

If Wal-Mart doesn't work. You can always take a lost by selling it on ebay or craigslist. Or me. I'm interested depending on price.

Take it to an apple store and see if they'll take it back for store credit?

I thought it was going to combine my posts. I am used to that happening on another board I post at.
