Stupid seat belt chime... (7 series)

Since there is no forum for us U-boat commanders, I need some help.

My dog nikita, a 65lb. Portuguese Waterdog and sometimes co-pilot does not like to wear her seatbelt. Something about chaffing.
The problem is, whenever she rides Shotgun, I get that damned "ding" "ding" "ding" noise..
Anyone know how I can deactivate the weight sensor. I would be really embarassed if Nikita had to sit in the back, people might think I'm her chauffer.

Alex,

That is a solution. Not a very practical one, but a solution none the less. I was hoping there was some sort of bypass without me having to reach across and buckle, that's just a PITA...

Thanks for the advice though.

Go the the junkyard and just get the seatbelt buckle. Then simply click it into place and volla...chime gone.

Are you crazy? Niki is a Portuguese Water Dog, a working breed. I take her to the office everyday. She guards the door and makes sure no weirdo's off Hollywood Blvd. stroll in where they don't belong. She loves going to work.
