It's on the BMW Compatible list http://www.wireless4bmw.com/phones2.html

I can only say I've used it in the E70.

Brian5,

Thanks for the link, I will test them thru the wireless store and make sure it works. BB Pearl 8100 is compatible with X5 produced after March 2005 and my module end of life is Nov 04, hoping to change my old RAZR. Aloha & Mahalo........... e~

I have a X5 2005. How can I figure out what the manufactory date is of my car. As I understood that the BB8100 only works from a specific date in 2005.

I am interested in the BB 8100 but I need (of course) to be sure it works in my car. And working means calling, phonebook and sms.

I just bought a LG Viewty and this one is not working in my car. Although my wife is happy, she gets the phone.

The plate on the inside of the driver's side door frame that has the VIN, etc, should have the month and year of manufacture. If you want a more specific date, your dealer can run the VIN and find out exactly.
