Cool art. & the "reasons" make sense: the chimps have a memory
set where "remembering" brings them food/saves their azzes, and they have little language center taking up space in the ol'noodle. On a side note, a old college roomie of mine took one on in a side show deal, about 1966. This guy was tough, strong and 19. His nickname was 'Barrel' and he was a helluva athlete and afraid of nothing. It was a Hundred bucks if anyone could get the chimp down or even stay in the ring for more than a min. Needless to say the chimp was on him in a NY minute and dragged him right to the mat. Then, the chimp pinched the crap outta my roomie...he hollered Uncle, the handler said something and the chimp jumped right off and pranced around the ring, Ali-style. Very, very strong creatures... HiJack over, lol!
