Just bought my first Apple computer...G4 Powerbook. Anybody know the best DVD software for "backing up" movies?

Also any other MUST HAVE software for Apple?

Me too Got it on Friday...20" iMac G5. Loving it so far, just waiting on the Mighty Mouse to get here (hopefully by Friday). I had originally bought a Logitech mouse since I've been a long time right clicker. This new one from Apple matches the all white color scheme great, plus programmable buttons and scroll ball. Hope it works as well as everything else from them.

Congratulations, guys. I love my Mac. OS X is the best operating system ou there -- bar none. Let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to help.

I've been using wireless for a couple of years, and tried the Logitech bluetooth for PC. I wasn't really impressed with battery life. I guess if it lasts all day that's enough. I've gotten to where I don't care if it has a cord or not as long as it's optical.

MacTheRipper works great! Do you have to purchase a program to write the image you get from MacThe Ripper or can you use disk utility or some other freeware?

I use DVD2OneX to compress it down to fit onto a dvd and then I use Toast to burn it.
