DaCEO Wins a couple Quilt honors...
DaBoss entered 2, both of which have been posted here before, but unless some of you are fabric artists/quilters, ya'll won't remember. She won 2nd place overall in large quilt/pieced, (for her extraordinary design and back side quilt stitching), and an honorable mention in free design/small quilt for her "FlawRaDuhFlowers" design fabric art piece. Pics below, in order. She was thrilled, as she has only been doing this stuff for less than two years, but her art design degrees and sewing skills have come together in her new "jones". Her quilt guild, Shady Ladies of Waynesville/Maggie Valley, NC, won 20 honors of the entire 200 accepted show pieces...these women are Very creative and always kick azz. Congrats MD! For what? I guess you get congrats for marrying a talented lady. I'm sure you were the inspiration for both quilts.
I can relate because the better half has her MFA in art direction and she loves to create things and paint. She plans on entering an art festival soon so I hope some rich artsy fartsies wanna drop some cash on some of her paintings. Meanwhile, guys like us just sit back and scrawl with a Crayola.

Congrats to DaBoss! I gotta tell you, there is no way I could ever do something like that. The time and patience it would take to pull that off is just something I don't have.
I know you must be really proud to see your best buddy do so well. Really happy for you both! Now, when is the X5 World quilt going on sale? I want #001 !!! (and signed by both of you!) Kevin
