After offering a whopping 384 horsepower upgrade for the 335i, Dinan has revealed their latest performance modifications for the BMW M5’s and M6’s 5.7 liter V10 engine. The M5 and M6 already produce a whopping 500 horsepower, but imagine the amount of acceleration an additional 128 horsepower can provide.

By adding High Flow Throttle Bodies, Free Flow Mufflers and a racing middle exhaust, Dinan gives the M5 and M6 a total of 628 horsepower with 482 lb-ft torque. Dinan doesn’t provide any 0-60 times but we’re sure they are well in the low 4.0 second range.

Isn't it mainly the stock exhaust that's the massive restrictor? Iirc, Supersprint sells headers + exhaust for it also, but I think it's around a more reasonable (relatively) $15k+.

Dinan is a sophisticated rip-off, there are plenty of other companies out there that produce the same products at less than half the price with the same results. VACMOTORSPORTS estimated a supercharger kit for my 4.6is with all of the goodies offered by Dinan installed at less than half Dinan's price. Dinan is brutal IMO.

I am still laughing at the S2 kit on E39 M5.. that pos only dyno'ed about 15 hp gain for how much?????

I think the main reason people consider dinan is because it does not void your warranty?

and it's the only power-adders, no matter how minimal, sold at BMW dealerships.

has anyone seen an e60 M5 or an e64 M6 supercharged? I did some looking on the net, and couldn't find anything. That seems a whole lot cheaper and easier than bore/stroke for 40k, unless there's no room in the engine bay for it.

If one can afford a $100k vehicle, then $40k to unleash it's full potential shouldn't be a problem.
