I hope people will pay attention this time. GM has been cranking out a few decent vehicles. The Saturn Aura won this award last year, but people didn't seem to notice or care.

I guess they'd rather buy a cheaply-built Toyota Camry.

The Cadillac CTS should have won that award.

And the Mazda CX-9 rightfully won the North America Truck of the Year.

I think that's 6 awards so far for it....

Yeah GM has been doing well in the last 5 years. New CTS, Malibu, etc.. things are definitely changing for the better at General Motors.

It is definitely getting better. We love our 2008 Expedition, that thing has more space then any vehicle I've ever had. And while it does have stupid little things go wrong, that the dealer fixes and aren't major, it is a great buy IMO.

What it has:

Remote power tailgate, open and close
Touch screen NAV
Rear camera
DVD flip down
Cooled/Heated front seats
Full 8 person seating
Auto open/close step rails
20" wheels
iPod in
Sirius radio, 6-disc changer
and a bunch of other stuff.

Not to mention MPG is between 14-18 (nearly the same as a E70 X5 4.8) and provides nearly 8750lb towing and weighs in at 6100lbs. Not too bad if you need a serious people hauler. Price out the door, $50,000.

I think the Tundra is done for. The new F150 and Ram are better than it, and on-par with the Silverado. Titan is dead.
