Mercedes Benz R63

Did Mercedes stop making the R63 (Speedy Minivan) for 2008? It does not show up on the main or the AMG website. It is a vehicle that I just don't get. I do have to admit that I have seen a few around town and they are a lot better looking in person!!

Nothing like picking up the kids from school in a vehicle with a 0 - 60 of sub 5 seconds!!

How rediculous....

Is there really a market for a vehicle like that? Maybe Dodge should come out with the Caravan SRT with a HEMI.

i've seen mostly R350s here.....very few R500s and no R63s/R55s. I can't see a big market for supercharged minivans. If you go to the MB website, it looks like they have even gotten rid of the R500/R550. only the 350 and 320 diesel.

The R-class is probably the dumbest thing to ever come from Stuttgart. I never saw a R500, and the few R-class I did see were all R350s. Mostly in beige.

An R63 AMG would be about the same as a supercharged Honda Odyssey on the stupidity scale.

The R500 is gone. Diesel and V6 power are your choices. Don't know about the R63, I've seen a gazillion R class around here but never the R63.... What a stupid idea that was!

If you want to pick up the kids in a rocket I would suggest the E63 wagon.

I've seen a small number of R classess around ..... It is probably a tie between the R350 and the R5XX...... I"ve even seen a few R63s as well....

I co-worker (Corvette driver) came in one day wondering what the @#$!@ was a R63.... Needless to say the Merc minivan left an impression.........

When they made the R63 they were assuming less than 300 units / year, so it's an ultra-specialty car for crazy soccer moms, which in my opinion should just get the e63/m5 wagon

Maybe two registered in the state. (seen more with red-and-white plates framed with "herb chambers" insignias, where they are always advertised for $350/month) The Mercedes Aztek IMO.
