Old BMW racers at Goodwood

A recent thread on the many benefits of DSLRs (shutter response time, among other things) caused me to look up a few action shots from last year. All were shot with a Nikon D70, at the Goodwood Festival in 2004. I didn't use much of a telephoto, as I was standing at the haybales, and panning on the cars every few seconds. The photos also suffer a lot being shrunk to less than 100 kB, as the originals were all 1.5-1.8 mB jpgs. The photos aren't great, but hopefully they will bring back some memories. The only things better than the sights were the sounds, particularly with those drivers who were doing timed runs (most were). For those who have been to Goodwood, you will know exactly what it was like. For those who haven't, don't miss the chance if you get an opportunity to go.

This is some of the BMW collection (just cars, not including the bikes). Lots more, of various eras/series/marques, if anyone wants to see them.

Hope you enjoy.

1 - 3.5 CSL Gp5, the famous Batmobile
2 - M1
3 - 2002 Ti rally car.
4 - 635CSi
5 - McLaren-BMW F1 GTR Lemans

I agree.

I am not one to "restore" a car but if I did that would be it.

I always loved the car. (I did drive a 79 320i for years).
