Anyone use Podcasts?

I load Podcasts and after I view them once (even partially) they disappear. Cannot find anywhere how I can keep them forever.

Yes.

Go into iTunes, podcasts, settings, and switch your "keep" to all.

I assume that you have set up your iPod to keep all episodes right? If not, go to Edit>preferences. New window should pop up, go to Podcasts and select your preferences ie Keep: (Choose from drop down menus).

To find out where your Podcast has gone or where it is being kept: Highlight Podcast in your Library list, highlight which podcast you want to see. Go to File>Get Info at the bottom of the new window...should tell you where it is located.

Actually - you can do that to any of your files...

I already have the Keep "All episodes" selected in the drop down, but they still disappear after I view them.

I don't see the location under Get Info. Attached is what I see

Are you sure you have them as Podcasts? When I select multiple, as you've done, I see "Podcast" in Genre. Are yours in your Music folder?

When you Get info there is not a Summary tab?

Do you know in your Hardrive where your iTunes are located? Under that there should be another folder called iTunes Music. This folder should contain all your music. Find a folder called "Podcast" this folder should contain all your Podcast that you have downloaded.

Other than what trueX5er have said...I have no idea why it is not keeping your Podcast.

I have them as Podcasts and they are all in Podcasts folder under iTunes folder on my PC, but not on my iPhone as they disappear. They also show under Podcasts/Videos on iPhone on first sync after download.

I forced the Genre to Podcasts by putting a checkmark and did the sync and it copied all Podcasts back to my iPhone. Thanks, Brian.

You're welcome. Maybe the iPhone, or iTunes syncing with the iPhone, does something a little differently.

I did download those BMW podcasts that you had shown and they did get the Podcast genre and operated as normal Podcasts for me.
