Computer Wonderment (Invalid Screen Resolution)
I'm using VmWare Fusion and Windows XP professional on my Intel
iMac and my MacBook Pro and all programs are up to date. I am using a specialized record keeping program on both computers. On my iMac the program installs without issue. On my MacBook Pro I get a screen that say's ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Invalid Screen Resolution The mininum screen resolution needed to run Home schedules is 1024 x 768 pixels. Your screen resolution is currently set to 1358 x 690 pixels. To adjust your display settings: .Right-click on your desktop and select properties .Click on the settings tab .Adjust the screen resolution setting to a minimum of 1024 x768 pixels. .Click ok to save your settings Restart the program after making these changes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's all good but here's the rub. I have changed the screen resolution to the proper resolution, saved it and the program starts up just fine. Problem is the next time i start up windows and then try to restart the program the same error occurs and I have to reset the screen resolution all over again. How do I get the screen resolution to stay where I set it? Even when I try to set it sometime when I hit the apply or OK button the setting changes to something else and I have to move the bar to the correct resolution and then save it again before it finally saves the setting. Anybody got any idea how to solve this issue aside from buying a PC??
