Any watch aficianado's in da house

I've been working hard....really hard. I deserve something.

Hmm...I'm feeling the following

IWC Big Pilot in stainless/brown buffalo strap

JLC Master Compressor - I suspect it's too big for me though. The Big Pilot is no dwarf either...

Nothing IN GP for me this year.

Too bad I did not work hard enough for a JLC MMR

Hey Chef,

I am a huge WIS (watch idiot savant)..

And the first thing you need to know is that top watch you listed is NOT a Big Pilot on buffalo brown strap..
The name of the first watch you posted is called:
The Antoine de Saint Exupery (often called the Saint Exupery.) It is a chronograph, a limited edition and is a 2006 model.

I know this not only because I love that watch, but also because I have the 2007 model which is a non-chrono.

They are supposed to make 3 Antoine De Saint Exupery models (named after the famous pilot/author who wrote, The Little Prince.) ANd the model you have shown is the first of the three. Mine is the second and there will be a new one next year.

The model you have shown is sold out but can be found on the seconday market for at or near the retail price. If I become cash flush anytime soon, I'm going to scoop up the chrono version also.

Just want to note though, because it is on a leather strap, you can't swim with it, or shower, and if you work in an enviorment where you sweat a lot, I would rather see you get a watch with a stainless steel bracelet or at least rubber. I only wear my Saint Exupery if I'm getting dressed up.

There are two more JLC's that are coming out that I like better than the Master Compressor, though I don't know the price or when they release.

What is your price range? How will the watch be worn, daily? beater? specail occassions? Do you like big watches? SS bracelets or Leather? Chrono?

No price range........as long as it's within my reason. I had a watch obsession for a short stint awhile back and that stopped. Was in my buddys office last week and he has a whole shelf full of *Revolution Magazine* and that started it all again.

Usually not a big fan of all SS chronos but that JLC one sure looks Hawt !
Your non-chrono IWC looks great. Perfect as a daily !

Hard to look at watches versus seeing them in person.
Had my eyes on a GP 1945 and hated it when I saw it in person.

I'm into classic Omega watches but the funny thing is my daily watch is a 100% Titanium Citizen Eco-Drive with perpetual calender. It always has the right time and date with two time zones at turn of a knob. It also resets the time for daylight savings time.

It is practical, inexpensive and looks good.

Wow for that kind of cake you could buy a new E92 M3 and the whole men's Rolex line in stainless (w/out jewels).
