Whistle Anyone by the financial district in Manhattan? Look for new 7-series

BMW will be shooting with the new F01 next generation 7-series in the financial district area sometime next week. Keep your eyes wide open and have the camera ready to see this uncovered and some Palbay style spy work. If the streets are closed you know what's happening.

Totally ignorant...

The E65 has endured the traditional 7 year BMW cycle...

Not only that but the E65 is by a WIDE margin BMW's most successful 7 series ever.

And to top if off, the F01 will continue the "Bangle butt" trend.

If you're going to insult my car, at least get the right one...

Hate to burst your bubble - 1st sketches of that precious E53 you own were penned by Bangle himself...

Regarding to the 7 series issue:

Straight from BMW PR:

"Woodcliff Lake, NJ - January 27, 2005... The most successful 7 Series in the history of BMW will set a new standard in the luxury performance class once again as it enters the 2006 model year...."

From around the web:

"But even with all the negativity surrounding the E65 7 Series, the impact of the fourth-generation BMW 7 Series should not be underestimated.

These have been the most successful luxury performance BMW 7 Series cars to date, with close to 160,000 units delivered to customers worldwide. Ugly duckling or not, sales easily exceeded the previous generation 7 Series, itself a highly successful model."

---

Achieving a little more than half of the E38's total worldwide sales volume (340,242 cars) in it's first 3/7 years on the market is impressive and hardly a failure...

Next time please check your facts before making ignorant snide remarks. Especially important if you're going to later try make petty personal insults...

---

Now that's settled... Back on topic, please?

BACK ON TOPIC...

The new 7 Series looks fantastic.

I have heard that the standard model will come out in January of '09, with the xDrive version hitting the streets a year later.
