PSP is worth it. Nicole's son has one and his father and I will be confiscating it so we can play God Of War Chains of Olympus. If you know about God of War for PS2, this is basically set before those took place. It will provide a Kratos fix until December 2009 when God of War 3 comes out for PS3

Homebrew stuff.
The new slim PSPs can be downgraded to have that application; you can put a lot of games from PSone, Nintendo, etc on your PSP. You can check Craigslist for hackers; a friend of mine did that recently, and he's quite happy only having spent $20 to hack it.
