What is the best way to transport Bikes?
Keep in mind I have no hitch or rack systems installed, so I will be starting from scratch. So what is the best way to carry Bikes?

depends on if you want to install a roof rack or a hitch system. Hitch system is probably more expensive, but the roof rack is a pain in the butt if you have a garage (for me at least)

Anyone use the profile 2000 roof rack system from BMW? Only $185.

the hitch is definitely the more expensive way to go, even if you DIY. It'll probably run you morethan $1000 when you factor in the hitch and bike rack. If you go this route, I'd recommend the Thule racks. Mine is great and very sturdy.

I wanted the hitch but way to costly. I went with Yakima base rack with Yakima steel heads. They work great; plus you can lock them and it's easy to get bikes on and off.
