Internet service on the Norwegian Majesty

I have a family member who is on a cruise (the Norwegian Majesty) traveling to Bermuda. This ship departed from Charleston, SC. We want to get in touch with him via email but I am not sure if there is Internet service on that ship.

Anyone who had been on that cruise/ship before can you please tell me if it has Internet service? If it does, is the service availble for the entire duration of the trip, or just when it is docked at ports? Are there public computers in its library that people can use freely or is it a paid service?

Thanks so much, folks.

I get emails from my cousin when she is on a boat. She works at one of the cruise liners in the Pacific, therefore I assume that they (passengers) have access...

Most, if not all, ships have an internet cafe where your room key logs you on and you will be billed on a per minute rate. Web based email on an occassional basis is usually what's done.

I'd bet on it; we had sat/internet service on the old fashioned
MV Discovery, on the coast of Antarctica, this past Jan., while
continuously at sea and, 700+ miles from any kind of civilization.

The sats can hardly "see" that low down on the globe's "bottom"...
Bermuda should be cake for service.

You shold be able to communicate with him. I took a cruise a number of years back on the Royal Caribbean line on their smallest ship- it had an internet cafe.

why don't you just call the cruise line?

They all will have Internet Cafe's. It is a rip off, but a way to connect.
The very new ships have wifi IIRC
