Why does PR, not a US state, have any kind of say in the election of US leaders?

When i was in PR a few years ago - I talked to some of the locals. they said that they want all the rights of being an Americans but, not pay the damn taxes or such. I don't know if that is the case or not. Do they pay taxes?

But it seems SO STUPID that a primary this close is influenced in the slightest by a place that doesn't pay federal taxes to the US, has its own constitution and can't vote for the US president.

Yeah - I totally agree with you. They get the "rights" of being an American but, not pay for being an American? What's the deal with that? Put two and two together - does that sound like illegal immigration?

Good Question..."territories", as we all know. But, pretty archaic, imo.
Either get'em "in", or send them packing.
