![]() Instead of seeing the glass constantly half empty, I'm thinking about all the great things Obama could do for the country and the world as a whole... We don't need more war.

One thing I find appealing about McCain, though I am a democrat, is the fact that he has experience in the military. Right now, we are at war, nomatter if we like/agree with it or not. I feel that McCain, though he may keep the troops abroad longer, will honestly have their best interest more in mind as well as their safety than the armchair QB's with no military experience acting as commander in chief.

I think my vote will swing because of one or two reasons, maybe both:
1) Taxes 2) International Policy (Which means a tough stance on Iran)

Stop picking fights with each other!
Unless you are a large corporation, it is almost impossible to give health insurance benefits without countering the point of operating a business (making a profit) or making the take-home pay too low to pay their sub-prime mortgages. Last time I checked, its not mandatory to offer health insurance as part of the package, but its still getting paid for from somewhere. ![]() Back on topic, I think my vote will be one of two: The Green Party candidate, or whoever won't pull me out of college to go fight for oil in Iran. Sick of lose-lose situations with politics. mD/Wagner 2012 FTW! |

Meiac,
I have two small businesses and you're absouletely right, nothing requires me to offer my people health insurance. I could have much greater earnings by not offering it and letting my people fend for themselves. I'm not picking a fight with Eric. I'm simply pointing out, that despite Eric's every intention to slam our gov't, society, politics, etc. He chooses to live a lush lifestyle while hypocritically depriving his staff of a benefit that small business owners should, at the very least, try to subsidize. I wouldn't blame a small business owner for not providing it if they could not afford it. But Eric, who drives premium vehicles, is certainly not starving for a loaf of bread and in the same breath, his constant birage of attacks over anything corporate, big business, and everything else for that matter, is clearly in conflict with his own ability to provide for his staff. This is not an attack on people who do not offer health insurance for their staff. This is an observation about ERIC, who does not provide health insurance for his staff. I guess that old, high and mighty chair he sits on, looking down at the rest of us, ain't so high after all.
