Top of the evening news tonight was a report on the wonderful side effect of higher gas prices.

There have been less highway fatalities due to the reduced number of vehicles on the road as a result of higher gas prices.

Sure...Why not reduce the maximum speed limit to 25 miles an hour State wide? I'll bet that reduces highway fatalities even more.

If you ask me these people are green alright. Smoking something green.

LOL...Great reporting. How about the Golden Gate Bridge toll going up $1 to $6 to cross the bridge to narrow the budget gap. The news then went on to say that many would find a way to avoid the GG bridge by carpool, bike or avoid the bridge entirely.

So I ask myself...Hmmmm. If less people cross the bridge what does that do to the revenue needed to meet the budget gap. No need to worry though, I doubt driving habits will change due to this increase. I can't believe they actually think people will start riding bikes across the bridge to avoid paying an extra $1.

People will do anything if they get pushed hard enough including "riding bikes across the bridge to avoid paying an extra $1." Then the Golden Gate Bridge will start charging $7:00 toll for Bike and pedestrian traffic.....
