Proposed Highway Fuels Tax Increase...

Surprised this hasn't come up here on the ol'JukeBox, or
maybe I missed it...I couldn't find a "clean" version of
the proposal, so I used the linked site.

Some of the stuff I've read about this suggests the
highway/construction companies lobby had some "push"
on this. What a surprise...I sort of wonder what "they"
are doing with all the dough over the past few years;
the interstates I drive on look like works in progress and
lifetime employment projects, imo.

Oh, and Amtrak...what a concept: if they had started
on good railroads about 1950, or so.

And, "we" elected these idiots? We get what we deserve...
