Golf ball hit my car :(

I was driving back home on the way back from work, and where I live I have to drive through a country club which is private the street is public. Upon entering the street some guys kid hits a ball directly into the back of my car which leaves a nice size dent, he was about 15 feet away from my car. I stop and spoke to the father (admitted it hit my car) and he told me to see the country club manager, I spoke to him and he told me to give my insurance agency his info. My question is will they pay the damages? Or will the screw me over? It hit the right back panel. BTW this happen by the knollwood country club entrance if you were curious.

Thanks!

the ball didn't hit your car, your car got in the way of his shot

good luck with the repair.

1 question: why would the club ask for YOUR insurance info? they should be giving you theirs!

What did your insurance company say? I assume you called them.

My mom's X5 was supposedly hit by a golf ball too, which cracked the right rear taillight cover. The truck was parked in the doctors parking lot, right next to the golf course, and apparently, the golfer picked up the ball after he hit us or it rolled away. When we talked to the front desk, they told us they wouldn't pay for it unless we found the golf ball....bad luck for us.

Our neighbor who was also in the same parking lot had a golfball hit his new Acura TL on the sunroof, and luckily, he was able to retrieve the golf ball. I believe he was paid for it.

Geico said they call them today. I don't wanna get screwed with a bill, since the members there pay around 45,000 just to be members.

quick trip to sports authority for a sleeve of balls and you're all set

Its likely that people who shell out $45K to play golf would NOT be inclined to cough up more dough for damages. Good Luck. Buy a set of balls and scuff one up.

The club didn't ask for my info, the manager gave me his card and I gave that info to my insurance company. Btw I went straight to office to talk to the manager right after the guy said yea he hit my car and he's the one who told me to see the manager.

Yep - make sure it's the same or close to the same balls they the club is using. That's what I did when my truck was hit.
