Second 3G Lawsuit Emerges

While Apple's iPhone sales continue to succeed, things just aren't looking any better for AT&T's network woes, and their dysfunctional relationship has given birth to a second lawsuit.

Several iPhone users on Wednesday morning reported a complete outage of AT&T's data service. Reports have surfaced in Boston, Chicago, Washington DC and St. Louis; users have claimed in the Apple support forums that a call to AT&T's support line confirms the outage. AT&T's Brad Mays confirmed a "routing issue" in the Northeast region affecting wireless data in the early morning. He said technicians restored the service by about noon EDT.

I wish I loved my new 3G iphone but bottom line.. THE BATTERY SUCKS...

If I were doing it all over again, i'd probably get the BlackBerry World Phone.

The AT&T networks has some bugs, services is not all that good according to some people, so maybe this will give user the right to cancel their contract, and give Apple the chance to sell to other networks too.

No maybe about it. If i had those issues i would certinally cancel my contract.

How about the fact, that the f*#($*% signal drops as soon as I walk in my door, and then it won't pick it back up until doing a force reboot.

I used to have Cingular before it changed its name to AT&T and I had nothing but problems with it. More bars in more places my a$$. I would love to get an iPhone to match my other Apple gadgets, but I will not switch to AT&T. When they offer service through Verizon, we'll talk.

We won't have to wait for the iPhone... Blackberry is coming out with their iPhone competition called the Storm.

Don't know how accurate this info is, but I spoke to a salesman at Verizon and they said usually a big product like this will be released around the Christmas holiday season. My new every two is up and I'm tempted to wait, but I'm afraid that it might have bugs that will need to be worked out with the initial batch of phones.

I just bought a new BlackBerry Curve last month. Hopefully, in the next two years the BlackBerry Storm will have all the bugs worked out of the iPhone will compatible with Verizon.
