If everyone keeps cutting back their usage the price should fall.
But i suppose that's not all there is to it. Especially with Opec wanting to cut back production. Trying to make sense of it all is becoming a waste of time imo

It is complicated. I watched an interview today that said "..at least the price of a gallon of gas will go down to $3.00 soon"
Ah, wasn't it around $2.00 a few years ago? Amazing what people can get accustom to.

Then can someone explain today's jump in petrol prices? Maybe its an isolated event, but yesterday premium was going for $3,65/US gallon ($0,96/litre) around this area. Today, I went out and all petrol chains want $3,95-4/ US gallon. What's with the ridiculous jump?

Common..money making BS for our area. MD gets nearly all its refined gas from Jersey and the like..yet somehow GULF problems directly effect our prices
 The last Gov actually questioned this and heard " ...ahhh..ummm...ahhh"
