On thing I can count on is the American spirit. Our government can do their best to dilute it or redefine it to fit some Utopian world dream but in the end America will overcome this madness and stand tall.

We need term limits for all branches of Government.

I would disagree with placing term limits on the Judiciary. I agree with lifetime appointments for federal judges. If one thing is needed is consistency on the bench.

Imagine if the American people had to select a S.Ct. judge every 4 or 8 years, and the candidates had to campaign for their position. Imagine the yo-yo effect that would have on issues like Roe v. Wade.

R v W has made the 25 year test without being overturned, therefore it cannot and has become a permanet amendment.

But, with the way Bush has bypassed the Constitution and Congress, nothing is certain any more.

Thinking about the constitution, those Founding Fathers had such forsight and covered so much minutia. Their ability to draft the document and leave it in flux, allowing future generations to apply legislation as society progressed was brilliant. Ever wonder if any modern politicians are knowledgeable enough to pull off a similiar document? (tee hee, i has mis spelled Knowl- )
