Autumnal Equinox...

Surprised that none of my fellow slightly obsessed weather/calendar/season nuts
mentioned the Autumnal Equinox that rolled around today...for most of us, Mr Sun
rose due East and set due West and the daylight was equal to tonight's darkness.
That daylight period is fading fast...

Fall here in the Mtns is spectacular, as we will have our first sub 40 F deg night,
followed by maybe 72 tomorrow.

A couple of dawn pics, as the morning and, most evening skies are very different
this time of year as our lil' ball navigates around Mr Sun.

Perfect timing, MD. I logged on tonight wondering whether anyone had noticed or made note of the equinox today. It hasn't been clear here, but I am waiting for clear skies so I can get outside to use my new computerized Go-To German Equitorial Mount (with my same old Televue scope). Still waiting. Astronomy photos will be posted when it clears and when I get time.

Sub 40? No frost here at home yet either, but my wife drove up country today in the X3 and found mixed rain and snow on the first pass (Hope-Princeton), clear on the second pass (Anarchist), and 2" of slushy snow on the third pass (Blueberry-Paulson) It's coming sooner than we think.

Nice shots of your view, as usual.
