Whats the most neg. Equity youve transferred over

I have the x5 itch and im thinking about trading in my tahoe with 10k in negative equity for a used 06 4.4i. I know..not a good idea. Has anyone been in my situation and actually pulled the trigger, if so how much neg. did u transfer

I think I had about $6k or $7k in negative equity on my FX45.
It was painful to sell it but that pain was quickly replaced with joy when I stepped into the E53 4.8is..

Oh wait, I see what you're saying MD...

Allow me to correct my statement. I have never transferred over debt from one car to another car.
I think that would be a bad idea.

I did however pay the finance company the difference between what I sold the car for and what I owed on the car, I was upside down..

It really sux how uspide down people are on there SUV's..I owe 15k on my tahoe and im lucky if i can get 6k for it.

I was once 3500 GB pounds (about $7500 CDN) behind on a Land Rover Discovery, and paid it happily to get out of the lease. Worst vehicle I ever had. Paid off the hit by selecting a vehicle that didn't have the same personal tax liability as a company car, back when the UK tax rules changed to penalize vehicles that polluted more. I came out ahead after 12 months in a VW Passat diesel.
