The slope of the hood reminds me of a capsized boat, and the squares off cabin's height looks out of proportion to the low slung, curvy body... but no, I haven't seen any in the states either.
But don't forget about the BMW Nazca c2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcURKmYG93A or of course the BMW GINA concept http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTYiEkQYhWY or perhaps the best, the Chrysler all wheel drive, w4 heel steering backwoods concept!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-Lnfpulwjc Or what I would do with a smart car... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDU5BU_qSJU or a golf... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7rgF7qybqc Ok, now I will force myself to stop with the videos.

I could swap the gear box and engine within 1 hour of work. The one in the picture in the previous post is one of the latest models that was made. The production stopped at the very beginning of the 90s. It had a 600cc that rendered about 30hp and could reach 70mph and went from 0-60 in .......one day The coolest of all was the 2CV Charleston |

Yeah, what I would end up with would either be powered by a cannibalized 4 wheeler or an old VW 1600 from a bug. would hopefully end up close to this...

Citroen while not very popular in these parts were driven
by enough people to make the rest of the populace stand up and take notice. The suspension was considered a marvel of engineering. High pressure hydraulics are the jewel in Citroën's crown. The hydropneumatic suspension system offers an unparalleled level of comfort and control although it must be admitted that it is not perfect. Non-Hydractive or Activa cars suffer from considerable body roll (the basic system is poor in roll stiffness), the ride tends to be harsh at low speeds, the hydraulic system is very good at transmitting road noise into the cabin, some people suffer from motion sickness in an hydropneumatic Citroën, there is a tendency for pitching if one is heavy footed when driving a Citroën and some drivers dislike the feeling of being divorced from the road surface. The system can be caught out by hump backed bridges - the body rises from the road surface as the apex of the bridge is reached, the height corrector then decides the car body is raised too high and reduces ride height as the vehicle descends the other side of the bridge - the body then crashes into the suspension bump stops. On the plus side, one can drive far quicker on indifferent road surfaces than might be believed possible (this goes a long way to explaining the success of the marque in motorsport) and handling is almost unaffected by a change in ride height caused by a full load. Additional benefits include an absence of diagonal pitching, the constant ride height ensures headlamp beams are always properly aligned, irrespective of load and aerodynamics remain unaffected by load thanks to a constant angle of attack. More prosaic but nevertheless useful benefits include the ability to drive on terrain that is normally restricted to off-road vehicles, the ability to raise or lower the suspension to assist in loading or unloading the vehicle, to assist in changing a wheel, to facilitate towing and to make washing of the car easier. http://www.citroen.mb.ca/citroenet/m...raulics-1.html
