Pleasant surprise!

I was going to post this yesterday but I didn't get around to it. Well.. I took my car to Tulley for a whole long list of things... Here's what I remember off the top of my head:
1) They're fixing the scratch from when the car was keyed.
2) They're replacing the skid plate thing I ripped off when I hit the rock.
3) New windshield
4) Oil change
5) Some suspension component is broken, so it needs to be replaced
6) New front brakes.
7) Balance the wheels
8) Install BMW alarm.

I'm not sure on the specifics of the brakes or the suspension, because those are things that they found were wrong and my mom, of course, didn't remember what they said exactly... Anyway, on to the fun part! I was pleasantly surprised when they handed us the keys to a 2005 X5 as a loaner! It's an 03/05 build. It's Kalahari Beige with truffle brown leather (which isn't available on the '06 models, according to the BMWUSA website) and it has dark poplar trim. It has Cold Weather Package, Rear Climate Package, and Premium Package. It's a 5-speed automatic (which is odd, I thought the '05 models were 6-speeds), and it's got the heated steering wheel, auto-dim mirrors, adaptive bi-xenon lights, and BMW assist. It brings back many fond memories! It's fun to drive, but I found it a bit sluggish. It's not slow, but its not as fun as my 4.4i was. I miss driving an X so much! Anyway, it was fun to drive an X again, and I've got it until Friday.
I took some pics.. However, the attachment program is stubborn when I try to upload anything... Oh well, I'm sure we've all seen a beige X5 at some point.
