Neh...Vista has been a tremendous failure in my experiences. XP is by far a more stable platform.

I've benn running Vista for months at work, and have had zero problems.

Just because Mac people can't figure out how to use it effectively doesn't mean it's not a good OS.

Please I was a windows guy when you still did C: win.exe

Vista blows...if it isn't sucking for you, you aren't asking much of it

Not to mention how much of a resource hog vista is... So, how big is your commit charge? 780mb? 1100mb?

My friend put vista on his laptop and set up all the frilly features (to tie up some more ram I guess) and complained to me it was running really slow. I hit control, alt delete and looked at his commit charge, 1125mb out of 1536mb of ram.... No wonder! He had less than 1/2 a gig of his 1.5 gig ram to work with! About a month later he downgraded back to XP. (or upgraded back to XP if you ask me) and said he was saving to get a mac mini to replace his old desktop tower that was all but destroyed by trojans and worms that attached to anything that mattered.

I was a windows guy when it only meant a hole in a wall of a house.

That being said, I'm running our trading application front end on it, which is incredibly demanding on an OS.

I can understand your frustrations though, getting a Mr. Choo Choo game running for your son on Vista probably is a b*tch

All I know is I ran Vista on my HP with 4G ram and it was CRUSHED by Vista. Not to mention NONE of my graphics cards working

I've run Win 3x.....through 95/98/NT/Server/2000/XP/ME/Vista...Vista was the worst for me. So far my 3 Macs have had "some" issues, but nothing as crushing as Vista had. But that is just me
