I don't know what Eid is... But don't eat too much.

(Is it the end of Ramadan or something?)

It's the ceremony of the sacrifice when every able muslim sacrifice a lamb in the name of god.

Tijanaw: Eid Mubarak to you and yours!

B-line: It is not barbaric... it sounds a little scary at first, but in reality it is charity since most of the meat is donated to the needy. Since there isn't many needy people in Saudi Arabia, it wind up being shipped somewhere else!

I hear you JGQ,

I guess it's the animal sacrifice thing that sounds, well, ancient practice. But then again, isn't that what religion is? Ancient practices!

I guess I just wasn't aware that religions outside of (please excuse my spelling,) Santeria, etc. still did animal sacrifice. So when Tij mentioned it, my first reaction was a little taken aback.

I don't have any issues with it. And I guess barbaric was the wrong word. It was not meant to be an insult. Come to think of it, I apologize, I should have sent ancient cause barbaric has the wrong connotation.

I just wish Tij has a happy, healthy holiday..
