FOR FOOTBALL(soccer)FANS, WHATS YOUR FAVORITE TEAM?

This thread is for Football fans, i guess it's more, for our international forum members, guys lets make it fun and chip in.
I dont think there is anything wrong with starting this thread, since most of the members here have baseball, American Football and basketball to talk about.

Unfortunately, I'm terribly ignorant of the individual/local European football teams. But count me in as a fan of the German National football team. I went during Euro 2008 and loved the official jersey that I purchased.

It is always tuugh to play Israel at home, tough to get a win there, as for you being fan of all those teams, nice.

The competition that has emerged between Milan and Liverpool pat couple of years in Champions League, has produced some of the sickest matches, Juve has a good team this year, Amauri is in amazin shape at the moment, so is Del Piero, as for barca NO COMMENT!!!

I used to be a huge soccer fan.... Too many years in the states converted me to the NFL and NBA. I still though watch international competition and I always root for the African teams.... Morocco, Senegal, Cameroon, Nigeria etc. They are the most fun to watch. They play an open game. European soccer has been boring as of late and they are really killing the game. It focuses too much on good defense and conservative play and rely on counter attacks... Case and point Italy winning the world cup... they may have been the best team, but they were not much fun to watch (no offense Italy fans... )

I agree with you to a certein extant, European teams are more result oriented, i can understand them because, after 15-20 years go by noone cares who played an open game, they care about who won what, history books.

Europeans aproach Football like a chess game, specially Italians, certein areas of the field have to be controled, and every player controls and looks after his bocks, it's almost scientificly aproached.

Current african teams as you have mentioned aproach the game in a different way, have have not gottn the taste of the commercial aspect of it.
But now i think that is going to change as well, current AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his desire to coach some african teams such as Ivory Coast, which has a player like Didier Drogba, Even current Inter coach Jose Mourinho has expressed his desire to coahc in Africa as well, so African potential is being overlooked and we will see some of that European disciplined aproach from the african national teams as well.

ANY WAY YOU PUT IT FOOTBALL IS AMAZING.
