simple hitch not so simple...
The install went as smooth as expected, and I took that opportunity to get my rear bumper cover to the paint shop from when someone backed into me and left a good section of missing paint. I go to install the bumper cover today and guess what... the hitch is right behind where the 2 PDC sensors towards the middle of the bumper, keeping me from installing them! It looks like I'm now going to have to cut and weld reliefs into the hitch's main body. for the PDC sensors plugs...?!? I guess this lends more credence to the simple little phrase "nothing's easy" Well, the steel bar I bought to make the internal braces was 1/4" too wide anyways, So I guess now I have time to order the correct size bar and fab up the internal brace to make this hitch a true class III... Oh hooray ![]() So let this at least be a heads up to anyone that needs a hitch that there will be PDC sensor clearance issues, but if you don't have PDC then this is at least the best aftermarket option hitch design. Definately better than the u-haul or hidden hitch design that tends to bend metal and aim down...
