Of course Ford doesn't need any money. They actually make vehicles people want to drive. In addition they have mastered quality, dependability and aesthetics with regards to looks and equipment available. Chrysler shouldn't even be around anymore, their cars are total junk and GM's corporate structure makes the government look streamlined. Couple that Chrysler and GM's outright ego of "we will tell you what you like" vs. the other way around no wonder their in trouble. I couldn't care less if GM collapsed tomorrow, their not worthy of government money.

Wish FORD would get the pub they deserve for taking a toilet bound company and turning it around. Purchasing Volvo to get near 5 star ratings on every vehicle was genius, letting it go after that will be even smarter. Also building cars like the Focus and Focus SVT is genius for competing with imports. The only thing Ford needs now is a real "mid-level" luxury car (Lincoln is very close).

That "new" 2010 'Stang is HOT! This is where 'Stang lovers will flock but, they will have stiff competition with the "new" Camaro...I am thinking of getting rid of my Dodge Ram and look at the F250 or wait until the F150 Raptor comes out!

Ford's and Chrysler's are equally craptacular imo. GM is the way to go these days vehicle-wise..out of the big 3.

Friend of mine who works for Ford sent this link on the 2010 Taurus.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uhpykn7pN80

I believe this is the type of mainstream, high volume potential car that can bring them back. Niche cars are ok, trucks are not going to sell in volumes but what they all need are cars that people want to buy.

Gain marketshare.

I hope for Ford and the workers there that this car helps get the momentum rolling for them.

As a mechanic I would never own a chevy or chrysler again, but grew up driving fords. They are the best out of the big 3, and looking at the current situation... have proven that pretty well!

There are crappy cars put out by all companies. There are so many variables as to if a particular car will be good or bad.

People's experiences with the same vehicle range pretty widely.

You can have a horrible experience with a specific model while others have none/fewer of the costs or issues.

Who is right? It's all about personal experience & perspective.

Hahaha! I will never work on a GM product again, especially from the mid to late 90's...mainly those POS Malibu's, Grand Am's and Achievas. I see why GM is in trouble....
