College Football Thread - Enough Boring Politics!!!

If you slept through Gustav, City of N.O. sinking like the Atlantis, Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin love fest.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL started!

How did your College Football team do?

Did y'all see Michigan get beat by Utah?
Did y'all see Tenn get beat by UCLA?
Did y'all see Clemson get beat by AL?
Did y'all see Maryland almost get beat by DE?

That's why College Football is totally awesome - you never know! NCAA Football need a playoff system!

The UF Gators sent those Aloha boys home and South Florida Bulls won too. Tampa Bay should be proud of the Bulls.

Next up for my Gators this weekend Miami Hurricanes also know as "the Criminals."

GO GATORS!!!
GO BULLS!!!

GO IRISH!

and watching Michigan's season end on the first weekend for the 2nd year in a row was awesome.

Being an ND fan, I realize the outlook for this season is very low, but they have the #1 rated recruiting class this year, so the future is bright. This season might be the last home loss you'll see at South Bend for a long time.

O-H-I-O, lets go Buckeyes!

And while I want to agree with Gresch that watching Michigan go down is quite nice, I actually am a little disappointed by it.
Cause I know at the end of the season everyone is going to be like: "OSU has an easy schedule, Michigan sucks, etc. etc."

There is no great thrill in beating a mediocre Michigan team. It's much more fun beating the hell out of them when their undefeated.

The OSU v USC game is going to be insane.... Got to admit, I'm a bit nervous.

Now hear this!

There was celebration fit for a champoinship last night at the University of Toronto's Varsity field.... the reason??

--- From the Toronto star ---
The University of Toronto Varsity Blues' ended their six-year, 49-game Canadian record losing streak last night, in the most dramatic fashion possible.

The Blues needed a 32-yard field goal from rookie 18-year-old Andrew Lomasney, with 21 seconds left, to squeeze out an 18-17 home field OUA victory over the Waterloo Warriors, sending the 2,562 fans on hand into a frenzy, and players into emotional celebrations.

It was Toronto's first victory since a 13-11 win over Windsor on Oct. 13, 2001.
---------------------------

Yes that's right... 49 straight LOSSES!!!! Six years!!

Tar Heels have my full support, as always. I don't follow American football that much, but always have favorites.

I'm sorry if this is bad school spirit, but I still get a kick knowing how USC crushed Virginia. . I wasn't on campus, but a 45 point loss is just....well..........freakin' hilarious.

How do you even field a team with 49 straight losses? That's an incredible victory..

Actually, how do you get 2,562 people to watch a football game for a team with that record.. That's pretty amazing school spirit if you ask me.

Nice Job Clemson.
My team, the Christian Knights (I mean Paladins) did well on Sunday. I, however went running, and saw a nice VR X6 with two FU flags sticking out the windows...
