Great information.

This sounds unconstitutional and wrong.

Thats crazy....Over here, you can get pulled over, not have your license or insurance or anything, and they write you the speeding ticket and you have a full 30 days to go in and show them your license and insurance and they will not fine you. You still have to pay the speeding ticket obviously though..You can just drive off after they give you the ticket, even though you don't have any of that info with you!

glad i'm not transiting for another 3 months, but damn. If they know they'll make $9 million off enforcing the limit, doesn't that say that its there / what it is for an artificial reason?

Wow is Kansas lax or something?

In VA, if you don't have registration, then you get a ticket for speeding and "Driving without Registration" which is $25. I don't think they care about insurance unless you're involved in a collision.

I'm surprised NJ would explicitly say that the ticket blitz is for revenue purposes. VA disguises their crackdown as an effort to improve safety and reduce motor vehicle related deaths.

I guess..I'm not sure..But I know as long as you show them your license, and insurance within 30 days, they will not fine you...You only have to pay for whatever traffic violation got you pulled over in the first place...

They don't ask for registration in KS, I think they just run your plate number and see if its current..That tells them its registered...

Matt, did you read above at all? The OP's post info is considered bogus by
Snopes...

Back at the Go to Jail Ranch, all the states, counties, cities are ramping
up the tix chase for more income, as has been discussed here ad nauseum.

That was the nice part of expensive gas, the cops couldn't afford to chase and idle so much, so they just left dummy deterrant cars out in the median
