car shooting in LV/Henderson

Wouldn't the police impound the car?

Wow that's intense - it's crazy because stuff like that never even makes it into the news here. There is some really scary stuff that happens in the resorts and all over town that you would never even know about unless you heard from someone that was there or in the know (ie - this guy or police officer friends).

I would certainly not be so relaxed about it, but it sounds like this guy has his priorities straight! His family is safe, he's safe, his car is being taken care of, cops are on it, and he's moving on!

This sounds pretty strange to me -How do you convince yourself to let it go? I can see convincing yourself to remain calm and focused going forward but to let it go is odd. What about the follow up, what about making sure it's 100% random, work with the police etc.

Let's just say that there's a LOT of stuff that happens in the rooms and the clubs that if tourists and main stream media became aware of it, there would be far less allure to coming here to party hard! I work in finance for one of the upscale groups of properties and I know a lot of the EMTs on site and know a lot of cops throughout the valley, and they all tell me about some pretty ridiculous ODs and suicides and organized crime that I absolutely never hear about from the news or media. I used to think it was media censorship, but now I think the media never even finds out in most cases!

It is not in the city's best interests to have that stuff make the news. If people think a city is not "safe", they tend to avoid vacationing there. No tourists, no $$.

I wonder if there is a connection with the tour bus crash 80 minutes later about 70 miles south of there. They were supposed to interview the bus driver who is recovering in the hospital but I haven't seen any update yet.
